I recently posted some ‘interesting’ words. The response that I got to them was not the best. It wasn’t weird to me, I wrote about how I see human nature, it was pleasant, meaningful, and I would dare say inspirational. That is why I posted it, I wanted to share some of my late-night thoughts with the people of this community.

First, I would ask for patience, and understanding(I know that I can be a little different sometimes) but my intentions are good.

I have spent many hours reading through this site, but rarely post, I just don’t feel like I have anything important enough to say, until now, and I don’t know if I dare post again for a while.

It's a pity you feel your words were not well-received. I think a new beginning - in the sense of you starting afresh - is a good plan, though. Don't be dispirited; either join in on established threads or start new ones. Time is always better spent on new interaction than on raking over the coals of old.

Ganesh is very right.

There isn't much point starting threads which rehash old ones because there will always be people who feel compelled to take the piss about it. That's just horrid life.

And if you started a thread which was ill-received then don't worry too much, contribute something lovely to another one and see what happens then. Resurrect an old and singularly uneventful thread like the 'Obviously One or Other Game,' (which is seriously not meant to be a plug, it's just a fun thread) join in that and get in on the board that way.

You don't need to make a 'Da-dada-da Superhero Entrance' to join in and get noticed and in fact sometimes the new people I like best are those that I accidentally start to notice because of their posting in ordinary everyday threads.

I'd go so far as to say the 'Da-dadaa-da Superhero Entrance' (and it does happen) is, more often than not, counterproductive. It's what you say that earns respect for the cut of your jib, not the Spandex itself.

I just thought I would say; in my experience, sometimes you will post something that you think is hugely interesting and relevant and others will not. That just happens sometimes and I doubt there's anything you can do about it. Logic surely doesn't work. I find that out of all my posts, it's always the most obscure, weird and (I thought) least likely to be well received, which get the best response.
No clue why.

Anyway, just post some more.
