Hello all.
Okay, I'm a freelance soundman, and work has so far this year been terribly slow. I've managed to tick by, but had to dip into my tax account, so will be short come January 31st, but what the hey. Now, my job traditionally becomes quiet from the end of the year until Feb or March. I've not got booked onto anything thus far into September (most jobs last about 7 weeks) and I'm off to LA in five weeks to se my beloved for 3 weeks.
The advice I crave - should I be looking for a full time office job for a few months (short term contract) to see me over this period, should I hold out to see what happens with work (it's been a very quiet year remember).
I know it looks like a no brainer, but I'm just making like the thread says, conversation - and a) office level I'd get would be enough to get by but not much else, b) job I do, as it is in fits and starts pays very well when it happens... |
