saw the MC5 in london last night, they were very good, the bell rays singer standing in for the late great rob tyner, and i have to say getting a black woman with a massive soul-blues voice was genius,
and i got to thinking about their legacy, kick starting heavy rock and metal ('no MC5 no motorhead' - lemmy) but transcending the genre as soon as they invented it with revolutionary rhetoric & free jazz, but how really they only have 4 good tunes and it's a shame that it took levis to get them back together
also wondering about detroit, from motown to funkadelic, the stooges to techno and the white stripes, what a city.
anyone else share this passion of mine, come one, i want to see a sea of hands out there.
