That little link was useless, I'm talking about hyperlinks to direct pdfs on other websites that I can click on to download an entire comic which I can read, with my eyes.

Be aware that, given that this board is read by a number of comic book professionals, any site recommended here is likely to be closed down fairly quickly, but what the Hell, eh? What sort of stuff were you looking for?

New X-Men, mah man! Eyesockets full of Kordey and Quitely, mostly certainly. In fact anything to do with the following three things: morrisson, x-men and good readin. Maybe even Cannibal Porn, Queen and Country, BiPolar and Fritz The Cat. Think you can help?

Sorry for being gratuitously asinine...

Stuff that’s in print, you mean? Don’t they have comic shops where you live?

Don't be so untrusting, BH. I imagine this stout felow already owns them, but does not have access to a scanner and wants to be able to read his favourite comics on his laptop when travelling.

At least, I hope so. Otherwise I'm going to have to talk George off the roof again...

Well, as all X-men material would be copyright and belong to Marvel you might want to look at their website and contact them about PDFs. Glad to be of help.

Stout?

Felow?

Fact, I have girl parts. Fact, the closest "comic shop" can be reached by "the flying machine". Fact, I will not be contacting Marvel via your helpful link.

I'm terribly sorry. non-stout non-fellow. It's a bit dark in here...

I know that somebody posted links to Miracleman and Zoids around here somewhere... there was some Flex Mentallo, also, but that was removed at the author's request. No New X-Men, as far as I know... Marvel are probably going to be a bit sensitive about protecting the copyright of properties they have on sale at the moment... you may actually have more luck ordering the GNs second-hand from Amazon or eBay...

Do they have to be PDFs?

Fact: Without going through Marvel what you are doing is piracy, whether that is necessarily a bad thing or not it's generally not the smartest of ideas to discuss this in a public forum. Find an online comic shop and have them shipped to you air-mail style.

The only comics that should be linked here are ones that are now considered public domain. In fact, I think it would be fun to know where we can get PD stuff, since most of it is...well, goofy as hell and will proll7y never be put into print again.

Then forget about the x-men and other such copyrighted downloadery...I was just kidding officer, I wasn't really planning on downloading any illegal copyr...er, it was just a test...yeah...um

Then if the money-pigs won't let the masses (and with the masses I mean me) have their shit for free, I'll download all things beautifully indie...yeah that's what I'll do...any links to these types of legal pdfs (and no they don't have to be pdfs eventhough they're prettier to open)?

Onipress, lovely.

Here are two of my favourites from a Public Domain reprint site. I compiled quite a list of sites that had public domain or "historically significant" stories while blogging, and hope to post all those links some day.

A few selections from Dick Briefer's classic Frankenstein strip. Then there's some Supersnipe, The Boy With the Most Comics in America.

There's plenty more at that site, including lots of Fawcett characters like Bulletman and Capatin Marvel Jr., Quality heroes such as Black Condor and Doll Man, various Marvelman stories and Lev Gleason's star, Daredevil. I only wish the site had Heap stories available.
