Today, August 16th, is the Feast of Saint Roch. Often spelt with a k, Saint Roch's day is a traditional time of spandex, whisky and rocking.

In my younger days I would hold RAWK theme partioes every year to mark the occasion... this year I'm just gonna get pissed and do something METAL.

Coincidentally, my dad was the vicar of St Roch's church in a village in Somerset. I didn't stand a chance, really.

Hey... not long now till International Talk Like A Pirate Day!!! I can't wait... it always turns me into a little kid. Somehow it seems to come quicker every year, don't it? I mean, it seems like only yesterday I was celebrating Fiscal New Year... just getting old, I guess.
