Pole dancing in Big Boi's basement - what would your music be?

Quoth Crunchy:

Maybe we could start talking about what songs we'd pick if we were performing at Big Boi's strip club.

Well, if I can sneak you guys in, maybe we could do a burlesque review?

To begin, I would remove outer garments (first three petticoats) to Drinking in L.A. by Bran Van 3000. I don't think Outkast have made any secret of their admiration for the Bran Van, and Andre in particular shows a clear and clearly professed 3000 influence. Do you see?

Also, vitally, it has the kind of slow, dreamy rhythms that perfectly accompany the start of a strip, before the really aerobic bumping and grinding kicks in. Why, the very thought of that voice, declaring itself as "Stereo Mike" (A stereo mike... that might be connected to a SPEAKERBOX. Do you see?) is guaranteed to send shivers up the spines of the assembled hiphoperati.

Don't leave me this way by the Communards. There's just something about Jimmy Somerville that makes me want to shake my tush.

Haus: I thought it was Van Bran 5000...?

But I could be wrong, and probably am: I've got the chorus of "Drinking In LA" running together in my head with that of "Walking In LA," by Missing Persons...

Terry Bozzio lives next town over from my old hometown, these days.

I would strip to the sounds of the Mingus quintet doing "Haitian Fight Song."

I'd like to see somene try and strip to Napalm Death's classic 'You Suffer.. But Why?'

All 2 seconds of it.

Raping A Slave by The Swans.

It's a bit of a toe-tapper, that tune.
