…is not a band, sorry to report, but it IS a subsection of the DC website, to be found at
http://www.dccomics.com/features/grant_morrison/index.html

It’s got some we3 stuff, and the inevitable info on TPBs etc, but perhaps of greatest interest is the video interview bit which you can watch. If you have the appropriate player.

Apologies if this has been mentioned before; then again, if not, no apologies, and don’t go sayin I never gives you nuffink.

Well that was interesting.... never had deja vu and filthy thoughts at the same time.
Love the suit.

more Grant Morrison Experience:

reading all INVISIBLES volumes in only 12 hours may cause hallucination and reality distortion.

On the Invisibles, "oh yeah, it was basically a massive occult adventure, which now has probably influenced a lot of things in mainstream culture".

Poor guy just can't let the Matrix thing go.

Liked the interview though, Greg is a total handsome, eloquent bastard.

Giani is an international dude of leisure - there is no higher praise as far as I'm concerned, but I read the whole of the Invisibles in the bath the other day, and I came out of that chilled, not to say cold, I emerged from that freezing, and I still found it slightly derivative, to be honest.

My 10 pence: He's yet to top his olympic run on The Doom Patrol.

Well, that is odd. When I posted the link, it had 'video interview' as one of the options to click on in the left-hand column, but it appears it's gone now. Wonder why ?

I think the same video interview's probably on the CD-Rom that was 'free' with the Batman : Hush v1 TPB, if anyone's that keen to see it.

Sorry for any confusion, though. DC techies tinkering to make me look like a foo'.

I tried the Video link when it was on the main page, but only got about a minute in before it froze. I'll try it later maybe, but that could have been behind the reason the link was removed.

Why would a George Morrison interview be on a DVD included with Jeph Loeb and Jim Lee's HUSH? The two creator/groups are like night and day.

It’s a general DC promotional CD, I think Azzarello and others are on there too.

And I have to say I’m very lost on this whole George/Gary/Gavin/Gianni/Guacamole Morrison thing. I must have missed something. Is it an attempt to redress the fact he has two surnames or something ?

Naw, it's just playing around and being goofy. George Morrison is the leading silly misnomer. Some feel the joke is old, I feel it's still got some life in it yet. The debate flies fast and furious about this on The 'Lith.

Geez. Am I the only person who can't understand anything Morrison's saying on this? Between the accent and the poor sound quality I can only understand a word or phrase here and there.

Love the Lex Luthor outfit, though.

"Geez. Am I the only person who can't understand anything Morrison's saying on this? Between the accent and the poor sound quality I can only understand a word or phrase here and there."

I've actually talked to an ex-Wizard writer who claimed he could never actually understand Morrison due to his heavy accent. The writer just kinda stumbled his way through each interview, and somehow came up with something worth reading each time.

I understood him fine being from the North [well, Liverpool] and such. I imagine Cameron Spectre is supposed to sound similar in The Filth. Gobbledy moon-talk.

Do you think someone at DC realised there's a Flex Mentallo image in there?

I can't get the video or the audio to work. I've even tried it on 4 different computers, all with quicktime installed. All I get is the quicktime window loading and then the video\audio status bar starts to move but nothing comes up. Any help?

I read in another thread here once about GM's aversion to the 'net. Does anyone know of a link to an interview or story about that? I was interested in why he felt that way because I have my own reasons for thinking it ain't so great all the time (except when 'Lithers want to help me find something).

How about that, GM? I'm using the web to find out about how you're against the web...

I recall seeing GM (Genetically Modified, as in crops) say something like the Net eats up so much time, he felt that there was no contest between using time to be on the net and writing emails and such, and using the time to be productive, write, read books, do magick, be with people in his life, etc.

Has anyone read the solicitation for that Arkham Asylum anniversary edition? It's probably old news, but if not it's got an annotated script and thumbnails in the back.

My world is a whole lot richer because of Grant Morrison.

Should i be worried about myself?

I’ll be interested to see the script in the anniversary edition of AA – if memory serves, there was an interview (in, I think, the defunct UK magazine ‘Fear’) wherein Grant said that the Batman line ‘Get your filthy hands off me!’ originally used a word which began with F but was considerably more ... racy.

The Joker was a lot gayer toward Bats in the original script too. I hope the binding will be better on a new edition, there's some damn near impossible to read stuff lost in the middle of my old edition which is lost anyway, so I might get myself a replacement.

to tell the truth, he can't be more right. I work oline for most part of the day and the internerdweb sure is a time killer. too many noise, very few signal.

I don't suppose this is what ya'll're talking about?

LIMA: If you were starting today as a comic writer what would you be doing? Does the Internet take your time away from writing?

MORRISON: I don't know if I'd be writing comics today. I'd write games. I probably would write comics but only as a hobby... The Internet takes up very little of my time. I have a quick look in the morning before going for a swim and that's about it. There are one or two Web sites I follow to see what's going on with magic, comics and the world and that usually does it - Barbelith, , Ninth Art, Momus...
