Actually, they do post, but the moderating facists follow them round deleting, just because we can.

For example, this morning I deleted two thousand posts from the Head Shop, Books and the Gathering, all of which went "Please! In the name of God, let me post! I am human and I need to be loved, just like everybody else does!", apart from one, which explained the whole of contemporary capitalism/neocolonialism in easy words with pictures and a step-by-step guide to building a better world, but the suit was on my list, so it had to go. Nice thread, though. I'm certainly on the light end of the spectrum as far as posts go, but I certainly didn't join just join to lurk. Of course, I had been lurking since early 2003...

For me, the lurking comes from the fact that I first came here solely for the Temple forum. Yet when I started coming, I didn't really have much experience in magick, and compared to some people out here, I still don't. I guess posting involves me getting over the regular ol' self doubts - 'I have nothing unique to add' feelings, the 'I'm not qualified to debate this' thoughts. You know. The stupid kind.

So should this be a thread for people who've never posted to take the verbal plunge into this collective online consciousness? Stop just listening to me talk - this isn't 'Barbelith, the TV Show' that you watch passively. This is a dance, a constant debate, an online in-joke years long that anyone can get if they try! Come on! Come out!
