There's a preview up on mile high's first looks. the cover's pretty. let's hope there's more substance to this one. first four pages seem okay.

I think this is the first issue of planetary that is a 'part 2'. Every other issue of planetary is self contained. Elements of the story may reappear in later issues but there has not been a multi-issue arc yet in planetary.

Looks good.

Planetary was supposed to be made up of self-contained single issue stories. It was also supposed to last just 24 issues and see completion before the end of the 20th century...

Just wanted to say, having bought and read the second trade again, Planetary is the bee's bollocks - definitely the best thing Ellis has written, and proof that there is a good (nay great) writer hiding in the fat-suit of the shit one. It's all in the pacing.

yop, agree that Planetary is one of the most worthwhile reads out there at the minute...this preview looks tasty; i take it Greene is the evil-FF's version of 'The Thing'? Looks good! Any ideas when this story might hit TPB? I read the Authority\JLA\Batman Planetary adventures recently, really enjoyed the batman episode. Planetary is mint.

After reading it, there doesn't seem to be. Pretty much one event occurs during the entire story. Elijah's behavior is predictable but Jakita's shocked by it for some reason. The end.

Art's beautiful as always, though.

Could someone explain to me why putting Greene on the slow train out of town with no ship home is considered an effective way of dealing with him? Surely the Four have more super-fast information shitting space ships, so they can simply go pick him up?

Anyone?
