Salon has a cool interview with iconic comic author and mage, Alan Moore. I've archived it in PDf to avoid the registration over there. He talks a lot about how media has disconnected us from reality and how this defeats our democratic ideals.

It is amazing how much that interview fits into so many places on Barbelith, though. I've printed up copies to give to non-comics-reading friends, and they're all way into it, too.

Anyway, I think the discussion in the Temple is possibly the best place for this, since it's already off to a good start there.

...though I would never think to look for a thread involving Alan Moore, the media and democracy in, er, the Temple. If that's the best one, can it be moved somewhere else?
