Blimey, if Alistair Campbell still worked for the Government I imagine this morning he'd be demanding simultaneous transmission over all frequencies and forms of communication to screech that the BBC were a bunch of bastards?
Did anyone else see Panorama last night? It made the original Gilligan report from last year look like a commentary on a school sports day, they pretty much accused the JIC and the people that worked for Blair of deliberately distorting the little information they had on Iraq.
Of course, this was mainly deja vu, we knew all this before the Hutton Report, this information was laid before the public before Lord Hutton put his supersized tin of whitewash on the bench. Lord Butler is another establishment man, who cleared Jonathan Aitken and Neil Hamilton before their public humiliations, so we shouldn't expect any shocks in this report. The only difference now is that we have people from the Intelligence Agencies come forward and agree with what we knew, there was no intelligence there and what little there was had been distorted.
BBC: MI6 'retracted' Iraq intelligence.
MI6 distances itself from 45-minute weapons claim.
Intelligence staff 'pressured to lie over Iraq attack'. |
