Does he really chew on the bones of Steve Ditko and Jack Kirby?
I mean I just saw Spider-Man 2 and there are several Ditko ideas just thrown in (and they look great), so... where's Ditko's respect? I dunno, I'm just sore on that.
What is his problem with the Iron-Man movie? I read that his pitch involved a Tony Stark who lived in his father's shadow and is grief stricken when his brilliant father and glamorous mother are killed. So he dons his father's special project armor to, uh... fight crime. I mean Iron-Man is to me the toughest of the 60's comics to adapt. Without the Korean War it means very little, but JESUS did he get it wrong. |
