We all buy things. Sometimes through sheer necessity, sometimes totally on impulse. Occasioanlly the former will render a happy, but it's the latter that's much more likely to deliver the grins.

I've made two recent impulse buys, both of which have created grins far in advance of their monetary value - this thread is devoted to happy-happy-joy-joy purchases that you have since realised were essential to your continued happiness.

First of all, allow me to present.......

The Husky Kule-Kube, a mini-fridge that has simply filled a gaping void in my existence:

....my sicerest apologies for the two soft drinks on display; I truly didn't want to offend anyone.

Which goes hand in hand with my other acquisituion, Cracker - The Complete DVD Box Set.

Top those, fellow hedonists, if you dare...........

Yesterday I'm on my way from one job to my other job, and I decided to stop in a jewelry store just for shits and giggles. I'm in there a grand total of ten minutes. In that time I decide to get my girlfriend a pair of earrings, thinking $60 dollar range. I then proceed to talk myself out of that, get her real gold earings instead($100-$150). Then I decide to get some stones in them ($150-$200) Then I go for dimands, purchase a set of $350 earrings for the hell of it, have them giftwraped, then I go to work, feeling rather good for some reason. And I give them to her tomorrow. I dont know why I'm so pleased with myself for this buy. But I am.

Most recently, "JLA: Divided We Fall" TPB for £3.99, "Just a Pilgrim" TPB, "Harlequin Valentine" hardback and "Tales of the Slayers" TPB all for 99p each.

And earlier this year:

(Although I got the Masteriece Convoy japanese version)

Jeez, I'm such a geek...

A new mixer. It sounds about 50 times better than my last one and has beautifully loose and easy fader action and a nice clear space for fast scratching manoeuvres (which I am slowly becoming proficient at).

I'm particularly proud of having waited until I was reaching the limitations of my old one before buying the new one...

Warewullf, I love you and I want to be your best friend!

Oh, and um ... can I borrow your Optimus Prime?

I can't believe that fucker, not only does it look better as a robot, it's a more convincing articulated lorry as well!

By the way, I dropped £2000 on a 42-inch widescreen plasma tv. I can now rest assured that my movie-geek credentials never again need presenting.

I went to a charity auction and got three brand new Bent + Corrupt T-shirts and two pairs of B+C jeans (that's about £300 worth of kit) for £35.

Pissed all over that idea. Don't want to appear working class. Might get laughed at on Barbelith.

I am so very, very chuffed.

But now it needs a name. And some kind of stencil ideas to spraypaint it - it's giving me a yuppie complex and I'm going to be embarassed to be seen with it in Starbucks.
