Another Great gone.
He was magnificent, both in the brilliance of some of his acting and in having been the most beautiful man in the world for years. Streetcar, On The Waterfront, and many more. Even in the older, fatter, couldn't-give-a-shit-but-I-have-forty-feckless-weans-to-support years, he pulled off some great roles, e.g. The Godfather and Apocalypse Now.
I have a leather jacket, named after him, which I shall wear in his memory to hit the town tonight and drown my sorrows. |
