| I'm working on a project which will be a graphic novel biography of the Chevalier/e D'Eon, an 18th c. French diplomat, soldier, and spy who lived as a man half his life and as a woman for the other half of her life, and who upon death was found to be anatomically male. There's crossdressing and swordfighting and war and religion and feminism. As if the subject matter weren't liability enough, I'm unpublished and the artist is known mainly for queer webcomics. What publishers might pick this up? anyone? Oh well, there's always the hell of self-publishing... |
