London outing

Hi, I'll be in London for a few days in a few days. Found this thread on stuff to do there. Very informative.

However I'm wondering if there's something I *must not miss* in the next couple of weeks or so.

Also, if the more kink oriented of you could point me to something fun it'd be much appreciated. I'm mainly thinking toy stores and book stores. Also possibly a club where one can go without fetish gear, and not be pressured into doing something like this, but more just to have been there.

shops:

Expectations and Shhh are right round the corner from each other in Hoxton, would recommend 'em both, somewhat different in style tho. Sh! at softer end, Expectations not, but staff are lovely.

Shhh, you can only go if you're female, or male and accompanied female.

There's a good list here

And go try out the coffee, kink and kuchen cafe for me, as I'm hugely curious.

I had heard about Sh! but won't be admitted as no-one I know would be accompanying me, but thanks for the heads up. I'll surely be checking out Expectations and the IC list will be very helpful to do a bit of planning :-)

Also I'll do my best to go to Coffee, Cake and Kink. I assume from their website that they're a bit of a cybercafé too, so I'll try and post from there to satisfy your curiosity :-D

Also I hope my schedule permits me to go the London Fetish Fair. That seems like a superb thing to check out. Anyone been there?

I go to the LFF pretty regularly. It's laid back, friendly, non-dress-code and you can get a decent pint.

Here's a comprehensive guide to the gay end of the fetish scene from last year's Mr International Leather (a local boy). Regulation and H.O.S.T. are both pretty good if you have cash in hand.

Could only recommend gay clubs really but, for a more mixed crowd, there's Torture Garden which is next on at Sahara Nights, 257-259 Pentonville Road, N1, on 10th July. I've only been to their big bashes and I gather this is an "alternative TG experience to the usual large events".

They'll also stage the main stage firework spectacular finale show, and supply performances for the Gash House and Industria Tents, at the Big Gay Out festival at Finsbury Park on Sat 3rd July - 1pm - 10.30pm.

I'm sure there's lots more but depends on your particular interests, ojoh.

Went there. Did much vanilla shopping, as the summer sales made everything way cheaper than here, and I just had a little break moneywise. Didn't have time for all the great suggestions due to shopping

Coffee, cake and Kink is way out of the way.. never had time to go there

I'll be coming late August again though :-)
