Late Nights with Grant Morrison

I just wanted to talk about a problem I'm having...

Several months ago, I found I had become addicted to reading Grant Morrison. I started out reading his work about ten years ago, but lately have realized it had become a problem in my life.

I had become accustomed to reading his work for hours on end. My days would turn into nights, then into the next day, then into the next night....well you get the picture. By the end of his run on "New X-Men" I knew I had a serious problem.

So around the end of that stupendous little stint at Marvel, I just stopped reading him at all. I mean, I just stopped cold. It was hard at first. Then those days of abstinence turned into weeks, and I used that momentum to spur me on further. It's been almost 3 months since I last gave myself in to my addiction.

But those cold feelings are coming back to me, and the last couple of days have been maddening. I feel icy tendrils reaching for me in my sleep, and haunting my waking moments. I'm bored a LOT, and frustrated often. Didn't really know where to turn next, but knew writing something down, anything, would help.

Waddaya do when you're feeling out of sorts, but don't really have anything to complain about? How do you give voice to feelings that you don't know exist?

Peace and love to all. I just needed to vent. I'm sure I'll awake tomorrow in typical Polyanna fashion, in a field of daffodils with butterflies tickling my chin and yawning a big yawn while I stretch my little muscles under the warming, smiling rays of my dear friend, Mr. Sun.

So, what have you been reading? If you read for two days solid, you must have got through pretty much his entire printed work, yes? Maybe you should move onto, say Peter Milligan, or John Smith...
