We could always set up a "Sigil the Vote" session to counter the planned mass prayer sessions on July 4th and October 5th? Mass synchronised wanking sessions across continents. Or at least we could send our own prayers up.

The thing is, their requests are mediated, and therefore I'm not convinced that using magic to counter the prayers is the best lever. Besides, there'll already be millions of Christians across the globe who will be praying that he doesn't get in for the second term, so our magic will be a drop in the goodwill ocean.

I say go to the source, to what's receiving their prayers (it'll be a lot more interesting, at least). After all, I highly doubt that God is a Republican: they only see Hir as such because Ze's been passed through their belief and perceptual filters. Why don't we ask what their God wants?

Hmmmm. The one problem with that, IMO, is the fact that the Christian god may not be in any way unified, but could be a conglomerate of aspects. When I look at Christians, it seems that many of them are praying to very different aspects of their diety. Who's to say that we would be talking to the one that they are hooking into? Of course that gets into the nature of deity itself.

Could you be specific in what you used to create the sigil? If you used the traditional take the letters and scrunch them together way, or some other way. Not meaning the technology used. And what exactyly is the sigil charging and empowering? I find it pretty dumb as shit to go and charge a sigil that isnt documented with the purpose for and underlying symbolism of. And is it suppossed to be looked at while charged, or visualized in ones minds eye? I think I would have a hard time correctly seeing the gradient, though modernly inspired.

I posted it only as an example of a sigil related to the thread topic. It was generated using the standard sigil technique that has been discussed ad nauseum on this board.

People can use it in any way they want, or ignore it. FWIW, I generally don't charge other people's sigils, so I understand your concern. Of course, you've already looked at mine and allowed it into your subconscious...

As far as the interacting with the Christian God, it's probably a lot simpler to say that people just perceive Hir in different ways. Individual's experience is distorted to fit their expectations: their beliefs stay rigid and they ignore disconfirming evidence. What they believe about their God is mistaken for their God, in the same way that any relationship is mediated (sometimes I wonder if people are talking about the same friend).
