AMV's (Anime Music Videos)

Apologies if this has already been covered, I promise I searched first!

I love AMV's. There are some strokes of pure genius out there but there's also loads of tat. Here's a few I recommend-

* Absolutely by Nine Days- set to Kare Kano

* Ninja of the Night by Sifl and Olly- set to Naruto. I've not even seen the anime and this cracks me up.

* Friday I'm in Love by The Cure- set to Kare Kano

* Isobel by Bjork- set to Princess Mononoke. Very beautiful.

* Last Stop This Town by Eels- set to Cowboy Bebop. Backwards video, and nicely done.

I'm a huge Evangelion fan so most of my faves are using Eva footage-

* Roads by Portishead- set to Evangelion. Excellent, if depressing, music choice. This is not your average AMV.

* Always Look on the Bright Side of Life by Monty Python- set to Evangelion. Hilarious.

* In the End by Linkin Park- set to Evangelion. Look, I hate Linkin Park as much as the next music snob, but this video is ace.

* Mother by Pink Floyd- set to Evangelion. Very obvious correlations- "Of course momma's gonna help build a wall"/ AT Field, geddit?

* Comfortably Numb by Pink Floyd- set to Evangelion. Yeah, yeah enough with the Floyd, but it's good I promise.

* Iris by Goo Goo Dolls- set to Evangelion. Obvious but well edited.

I suppose you really have to have seen the original films/series to enjoy these.

Anyone else got any favourites?

Wamdue Project's 'King of my castle' set to Ghost in the Shell...surprisingly good.

Where on earth would I find these videos?

Type "AMV" under videos into Kazaa.
Otherwise, I think there's websites devoted to it, though I've never personally found them that way.
