I'm a huge Freaks & Geeks fan, and I did catch a few episodes of Undecleared before it was cancelled. It struck me as very good, but not quite as good as F&G. It was sort of Freaks & Geeks lite. Seth Rogen (the actor who plays Ken on F&G) was the lead and even wrote some eps. After gorging myself on the F&G DVD set, I turned my thoughts to Undeclared....checked on the web and someone said on the official site that the producers have gotten the green light for Undeclared to come out on DVD sometime in 2005, like maybe spring '05.

Anyone else see/remember this show? I think I heard Will Ferrell was on it a few times. The show was on in 2002, I think, on Fox. They had a lot of the Freaks & Geeks actors on as guest stars. It was about college freshmen and their experiences...it was a half-hour show, more comedy and less edge/drama than Freaks & Geeks, but still better than your average sitcom.

Wow, really? I've caught this really late at night a few times here and it seemed really lame and half-assed, generally.

I thought it was a really old show. Ben Stiller was on it the other week.

The producer (I think it was Paul Feig) said that the network was always on their case to dumb the show down and have more sex and stuff like that (either sex or overt, over-the-top comedy). I remember seeing the first 2 ep's or so and thinking it was pretty good. I did hear that Ben Stiller was on it, too.

Yeah, I heard about it on the F&G commentary... Fox wanted more sex and drinking humor than any kinda drama and the producers were finding it really hard to come up with stuff. Also, the actor who played Ken on F&G wrote a couple of episodes (only one got aired I think.)
