so i picked up the dvd of "master of the flying guillotine". if you have never seen this film and enjoy crazy 70-'s kung-fu flicks i highly reccomend it. but anyway..the soundtrack is by NEU!! I was watching it and i realized.."i know this music....oh #### it's NEU!"
anyway, i was just reading the krautrock subject and it reminded me of this and i figured i'd post.

So, dare I ask, is there any particular reason why you couldn't have just mentioned the fact in the existing Krautrock thread?

I think the prequel, One-Armed Boxer, used the theme from "Shaft". Go figure!

So am I right in assuming that the soundtrack is some already existing tracks, rather than material recorded especially for the film? I've never heard of Neu!'s lost soundtrack LP, unfortuately....

i can't remember the names of the tracks, but they are both on existing alubms, on the first two if i'm not mistaken. the "master's theme" is a track where the tape is slowed down and the bands shouts sound like growls and the drums sound like industrial clanging. the main theme was similar, except sped way up, very proto-punk sounding.
i forgot to mention that the closing theme to the movie is an early kraftwerk track.

Everyone probably already knows this, but NEU! are also (briefly) on the Kill Bill volume One soundtrack.
