Is no one in here today or what? Pay some fucking respect, maaaaaaaaaaaaaaan....
Saw Mr. Charles on a show in France recently, ...they played a quick medley of his hits after his interview. He was sitting there laughing and mouthing the words like he hadn't heard them in ages (we're talking about some of the best-known songs in the world). One of the other celebs got up and gave him a big hug and a kiss to rapturous applause from the studio audience. That's the type of vibe he inspires. The man was an artists artist. When artists really were ARTISTS. Completely unaffected by all the trappings of his enormous legend, and a really pleasant and humorous human being.
Plus, he was in The Blues Brothers, as himself. Respect. |
