I was just looking around on the DC Vertigo message boards and check out what somebody wrote:

"However, in good news, I spoke to Phil Jimenez at MegaCon 2004, just this last weekend. We talked about Animal Man (who is one of his personal favorite characters) for about half an hour. He said he left for DC the same time Morrison did, and will be truly suprised if Morrison isn't back working on Animal Man by 2005. He also said he would personally love to do the art for it, if Morrison ever does such a story. I even got a AM sketch from him before the end of the convention."

Now how cool would that be?!?!?!>

Yeah, I know that guy from Hero Realm's boards, where he posts as The Bohusk, the Beak's #1 fan.

He got a really nice piece of Animal Man art from Jiminez, but I have to question how much Phil would know about Grant's conceivable future projects.

Aaand the pic's not showing, and I've just reiterated you.

Baws.

Anyway, I'd not be surprised to see Buddy making cameos or even supporting roles, but I don't especially desire to see Grant tread old ground, as good as it could be.

Why would he want to come back to a comic he practically "Ended"? Sounds like a silly rumour.

SPOILERS FOR THOSE WHO HAVEN'T READ IT

One of the coolest things about Grant's JLA run was the sudden return of Animal Man in the last story arc. I forget what he did exactly, its been a few months since i read it, but it was great seeing him make that entrance.

All the artsy voices in my head tell me I shouldn't love this, but i can't deny it. A new Animal Man series by Morrison and Jimenez would be great.
