my favourite add just now is for Wella hair gel and spray - crackin electro-clash-pop-nonce soundtrack as pretty boy winds his way through veritable urban jungle: sees pretty (very pretty) girl and in process of seeing, his hair (and hers) morphs continuously into various 'safe-punk' expressions. It is such a beautiful looking ad, chunky, bright, shiny, vinyl-ee, slick, wet, busy, packed, a real pop-representation of modernity as experienced by teens.
anyway - looks like city-visions done in the late seventies by mccarthy in places such as 2000AD and the like. |
