so let me get this straight - this book includes the complete skin and rg? that's good for the youngins and that, but will mean the rest of us shelling for a lot of pages of reprint.

won't stop me though.

sooner those Rebellion quim-strokers get Sooner or Later published in a one-off 'prestige' format,

the better.

(don't mention swifty's return (or whatever the fuck it was called) morons - that was utter shite in comparison.)

my favourite add just now is for Wella hair gel and spray - crackin electro-clash-pop-nonce soundtrack as pretty boy winds his way through veritable urban jungle: sees pretty (very pretty) girl and in process of seeing, his hair (and hers) morphs continuously into various 'safe-punk' expressions. It is such a beautiful looking ad, chunky, bright, shiny, vinyl-ee, slick, wet, busy, packed, a real pop-representation of modernity as experienced by teens.

anyway - looks like city-visions done in the late seventies by mccarthy in places such as 2000AD and the like.

yes. i like this advert too. the hair morphing to mirror his thoughts is a stunningly simple conceit that really pleases me, and does, yr right, look just like someone on a ewins-mcarthy neuro-flip

Gambit: Where does it say they're reprinting RG in that book? I didn't notice that on the site. I don't have a copy but seeing as I've read it 9000 times it doesn't really matter.

I lurve Brendan.

Skin or Rogan Gosh aren't reprint in the book, the only story to be reprinted is 'Mirkin the Mystic' which has had a few pages digitally updated. Skin and Rogan Gosh are covered but just the history behind the stories, design sketches etc....

And what's this advert, has it been on UK TV?

Cheers

soz, didn't read it proper.

yeah the advert's on normal TV. it's a pretty usual hair gel advert, to all intents and purposes, just a trendy youngling walking through a generic bar-club wearing hollyoaksy clothes. but his hair keeps changing shape, and it's top.

McCarthy commissioned to do a Spiderman/Doc Strange book. Squeal! It might take a while, though.
