First visually genius Cunningham was preported (?) to be in talks to direct Neuromancer and then he would direct the live action version of graphic novel Ranx. Has he ever actually directed anything (apart from music videos that is) yet?!?

To my knowledge, he hasn't. But then again, some of his directed music videos are often better than the majority of proper, directed movies that I happen to catch.

Neuromancer was killed by the Matrix - as he said at the time.

Last I read, he was doing yet another collab with Richard James at the moment... not sure if it was going to be a video piece or a music video. There was no concrete mention of a bigger film project though.

He's just done a new aphex twin video - a work friend saw it in an edit house and said its fucking amazing and very disturbing- he said he felt unsettled by it for acouple of days...

He saw this version about a month ago- so i would asume it aint gonna be that long before we get to see it...

He's also made another short film called 'rubber johnny'- which IMDB says is completed? so also could be soon.. Heres hoping

ok so rather than recycle old cunningham stuff and pretend its new (the date on the link reminds us that its been a painfull 5 years since those playstation ads!) I come bearing more news on the new Aphex Twin/ Cunningham Video- its called Rubber Johnny and it will be released from May 1st- apparently it has Cunningham playing a 16 year old in-bred mutant...

the Warpfilms website [google it] says that CC will direct his first full lenght movie after RUBBER JOHNNY [which will be released on a DVD in May with other goodies].

There's a trailer on the Chris Cunningham DVD for Rubber Johnny, no? There's no explanation there for what it is, though, and I was hoping it might turn out to be a short film, a feature film, even. But a new Aphex Twin video's OK for now, I suppose.

They are TV addict rednecks who occasionally feed Johnny and yell at him for making noise. Johnny's only company in the basement is his little dog.
