Looking over the net of late, I've been really disappointed by the caliber of film discussion online. Most sites either seem to be just opinion reviews, telling you whether or not to buy/see a movie, or rumor/news sites, both of which are good, but I'm looking for something a little different, namely a site that would analyze both films and news about the industry.
And with this nowhere to be found, I'm thinking of starting it up myself. My template would be to take what Ninth Art does for comics, and do something similar for films. My basic ideas are two updates a week, Monday and Friday, with about three articles per update. Friday would feature a preview of new films, and Monday would feature an analysis of the weekend box office, as well as a review of a new film or two. In addition, there would be essays about films that have already been released, and a roundup of the week's news, with comments.
