In a continued effort to convince my agent that I am in fact writing and not sitting at home playing KOTOR, I'm currently nearing completion of a lengthy piece of children's poetry. This is being written for a friend's young daughter as a birthday present.
My problem is that, whilst the poetry is fine, my artistic style is not really suitable for the finished book (falling - as it does - somewhere between Gerald Scarfe and H.R. Giger).
So, anybody resident in the UK (Brighton preferably) who feels they can take on the deceptively easy task of scribbling some pictures to accompany the text?
Please note that this work is being produced as a small run of three copies only (one for the present, one for me, and one for the illustrator). It's not being sold, although you'll naturally retain copyright to your drawings in the even that it is, and only a very small amount of money can be paid for your time and effort.
Anyone able to assist? |
