How the ritual came out

Awhile ago, I did a thread on doing a ritual for a group of non-magickal persons. It was a tad controversial, and I was asked to do a post to the Temple on how it all came out. The thread can be found here. It was damn interesting, actually. I relied on my copilot to tell me how things went, as I was fairly out there in trance, and was focussing on creating an energy mirror of the sigil, drawing energy, and structuring it. We chose to use music as a trance producing experience, we chose "Collide" as the band to provide music for the ritual body proper. We entered the place ahead of time to perform a banishing, as well as some final divinations. As was mentioned in the previous thread, there was a spirit that was occupying the place, so I created an astral "shelter" for it, so it would be protected from the effects of the banishing. We also did an extra smudging to create an atmosphere of comfort for it. In previous communications, we had secured it's help as a "protector" for the ritual participents. There was a service, (we were in a UU fellowship), on magick prior to the ritual, we were careful to give people as many outs as possible.

At the start of the ritual, I drew from Earth as the primary energy source, and simultaneously drew the sigil energy-wise, (it had been crafted ahead of time), while spinning energy through it out to the circle of participants, who were moving clockwise. I spontaneously went into a seething trance, something that I figured might happen. People had been told about it ahead of time, so no one got too freaked out. I was extremely absorbed after that, so I've relied on my copilot, who was responsible for controlling the energy to report what happened.

She reports that as I drew the energy, she felt heat rise from her sacrum through her spine to the base of the skull. She said that the participants all seemed to be taking it quite well, and got rather ecstatic towards the end of the ritual, where they were freeform dancing around the circle. At a pre-arranged point, I pumped and burst the signal, at which point she reports that they all suddenly stopped moving, although no cue had been given to do so, (although I'm sure that cues where present, although unintended). We gave them instructions, (for the second time) on draining and grounding. Afterwords, several people came up to me, slightly sweaty, with strange smiles on them, saying, "That was interesting....." Interesting seemed to be the descriptor of choice. A psychic friend of mine who participated said that it had been a fascinating experience. My copilot considers the ritual to be a success. It has been two weeks and there are no reported negative after-effects. The sigil intent was to give them an experience of magick.
