Well... just got finished watching this beautiful piece of film and after a little search saw nothing of it mentioned here. Anyone have the opportunity to see it yet?

Basically it's a soundtrack to film traveling all over the world in observation of people and the world both past and present showing connections in behavior, culture, religion, etc. What's nice, is that the editing in the film causes connections between motion and experience in humanity that has a very reverant overtone and has that touching effect.

Any thoughts?

Isn't it amazing? I want to see it on the big screen so badly. I remember it made me cry the first time I saw it. Then it made me want to travel to every corner of the earth

Loved it. Cried too.

My favorite part is the big group of men doing the sort of call and response chanting. Can someone remind of what people they were?

Can anyone suggest a "if you liked this movie...."

If you liked Baraka, you may well like Microcosmos. The same music-backed tour of the world thing, except that in this case the world toured is a garden and it's inhabitants. Not the same social commentary, but you haven't lived till you've seen snails gettin' it on.

BTW, Baraka made me quit eating chicken.
