This could be considered a companion thread to the thread on Constantine, as it concerns a certain K. Reeves of Hollywood California, and his latest attempt to destroy everything I have ever loved.
This month's Hotdog magazine confirms that Keanu Reeves will be playing Bob Arctor in the adaptation of Philip K Dick's 'A Scanner Darkly', to be produced by Steven Soderbergh and George Clooney and be directed by Richard Linklater. The rotoscoping animation from Linklater's 'Waking Life' will be used to portray the drug scenes in the film.
(FYI, the script for the film won't the be Charlie Kaufman's faithful adaptation, which you can find on his homepage, but a new script. You may remember that Clooney did the same thing with Kaufman's script on 'Confessions of a Dangerous Mind', what's with these guys?) |
