hey all--his lordship the judge ruled in our favor today. it's all just amazing and happy and yet tinged with sadness. (FYI, for those who don't know, partner and i were seeking to adopt my nieces/foster daughters, born in England, but who have been living with us these last 8 years, and, after 10 years from the time we began this process, and a whole lot of heartache and stress, we're now legitimized.)
It will still require some legal manoevring--sp?--but we're all breathing a huge sigh of relief tonight. thanks esp. to those who've been thinking of us... alas |
