Current men's fashion

Men's fashion appears to fall on the conservative side of the curve. Surely there are some marginalized designers doing some really radical, experimental stuff? Or at least something slightly different than usual?

I understand that fashion for men is often about nuance, and that the look of a suit can change simply by adding an extra button. But I'm curious to see if any designers are totally departing from the time-honored traditions of male clothing.

Men's fashion at the moment is ruled by one man- Tom Ford. He's the creative director of Gucci and has been since 1994, he designs for YSL and was also their creative director between 2000 and sometime this year. I think you can guess that he's very good at what he does, he invented the current Gucci look but his clothes are quite conservative and it's effected fashion quite drastically.

This is a Jonathan Saunders design in his S/S 2004 collection...

This is about as crazy as Ford gets...

If you want to look at men's catwalk fashion than GQ has a great site for it.
