I did a cut and paste as well and fed Grey Area's second post into babelfish - clicked on Spanish to English by mistake.

It turns out that Babelfish's Spanish to English translation of "Como pode ver!" is "As it prunes to see!"

Try it yourself

On a more serious note, "good friends and discussions" is what I've got out of the place... I hope the same is true for you.

Hum, babelfish, huh?! That explains a few things...

And no candles for me, thanks... I know some people here and got to tell that down here we don't have such things... but is antropologicaly very interesting.

And I think I might make some good friends here, if you excuse my bad english and my weird thoughts...

or just the bad english (and I have babelfish now!)

Why did he/she say that?
Shall we discuss it?
Let's start a thread.
Where shall we start it?
Is it OK to start it?

So, Taverneiro, what do you do for kicks?

I just started on a port thing. For my health, you see. One glass after dinner every day.

And can I just say that I don't use Babelfish...I do actually have rudimentary Portugese skills. And a dictionary.

oh no, I'm not one of those one-time posters, I swear!

Actually I had a barbelith account once, but since it was more than a year without using it (and the fact I forgot my login and pass...), I decided to register again and start all over.

Grant, for now I'm going indoor climbing every saturday... I really recommend that for stressed people who cannot afford a good Porto.

And Grey Area, I never doubted your portuguese skills AND dictionary! I just think babelfish is a wonderfull tool for those who can't speak a language at all, since it always shows full sentences with right spealling and verbal tenses... it's just wonderfull!
