I have set up a webpage HERE as a portal for the White Hot Room. That page links back to here, for your comments and discussion on the issues originally published as New X Men 114-117, and Annual 2001.

So, if you have any insights or comments now the run has been completed, air them here!

Brilliant, Dan!

I was thinking you shoud make a sidebar somewhere that has links to bios and observations on certain individuals and groups. Diz has put together the most comprehensive views of the Sublime entity and Fantomex. I've got my own wacky Weapon Plus patterns. The Phoenix Consciousness is going to need a page for itself. Same with Xorneto.

Glad you like it! Start a thread for your own topics (try to keep the format the same as this), let me know and I'll build a link into the page.

No wanting to be a party-pooper, but wouldn't it be a better idea to link each issue to the threads about them that are already existing here? Otherwise we run the risk of cloging the board with another set of threads that cover stuff that has already been said...

Or am I missing something?

I thought it would be better for everyone who wanted to add their thoughts from a new perspective now the run is complete.

I can link to the original threads as well, but at the moment they are all over the place in terms of theories, etc (and my search function isn't working), and I thought it would be easier to re-present.

Unfortunately, I don't have the knowledge or resource to create the whole site from scratch, hence the contributory nature, but if anyone wants to scour through old posts and make with the copy/paste, feel free! If we can keep the titles and abstract in the same format, I can spot them as they pop up, and create the links on the 'front page'.

I thought it would be best to group by storyline (using the trade paperbacks as each 'unit') to avoid repetition.

Nobody else was doing it, so I thought I would take charge, but this is a collective, I am not a dictator, so feel free to create new topics, or suggest improvements, but lets not allow the suggestions to get in the way of getting it done!

I can be reached by email on fish1000 'at' ntlworld.com if anyone wants to contact me.

I think the replies per issue number in the hundreds with some really well thought out commentary. I don't think you're gonna come close with this new thread as a lot of the previous commentary clearly took the posters quite some time.

Yeah, but I thought it would be easier to have in one place, even if there is a lot of copy-pasting going on, as there is a lot of chaff in the original threads too, and a lot of changing of minds. What one poster thought when 114 was originally published has probably changed in light of the Xorn/Sublime/Phoenix revelations, etc.

btw, is it just my search that isn't working, or is that feature down at the moment?

Barelith's seach function was never the best, but now the site has been spidered by google all you have to do is put the 'Barbelith new x men ' and the issue number you seek in on a google seach and you should find what you are looking for...

If I may add a comment/observation.

It's interesting to note that in the opening splash page for E is for Extinction Part I that Jean is shown dismantling a pocket watch with her mind. This is interesting to note since Jean will ultimately dismantle time in order to save the universe in the final issue.

So is this the right place to put it. I do think starting over is a good idea now that we have the entire big picture in perspective. I know that many of my previous posts throughout the run were just plain off-base.

All the old threads that I could find are now listed on the site - If you prefer, you can add comments to the old threads, or just have a walk down memory lane!

How about we start off by annotating each panel of each page, one poster at a time?
