Presidential campaigns online: A review

After reading about the crossfire between the two presidential campaigns, I figured that I would immerse myself in the blood-soaked world of political propaganda. I headed over to George's site and John's site.

First Impressions
George seemed to have more attack material on his front page than John, who seemed to be trying to outline what his campaing actually was about in the midst of constant fire from Bush. George had a flashier site with more pretty pictures and videos on the front, but due to my political convictions, this part is a tie.

The Actual Issues
John's issue page seemed a bit beefier than George's bit about his agenda. I guess you hear enough about what George is up to in the news, but this section goes to John for making a clearer "issues" section.

So how do I help?
Money makes the world go 'round. So does manpower. George's volunteer sign-up page seems to be more organized than John's (you can get categorized auto-magically!). John's donation page fits in the window quite nicely, but George has bigger letters so old people can donate! Look! his page has the credit cards' PICTURES. Victory: George.

SWAG!
John makes a mean hat, but dayum... George has a crazy store, not to mention ready-made grass-roots progaganda... I mean... Activism... yes... Victory yet again to George for his extra-hip water bottle.

How bad do they hate each other?
Right off the bat, George has more attacks. He even re-attacks John: George's attacks go through John's D-Bunker(tm)(r)(c), which subsequently goes through George's D-Bunker(tm)(r)(c) Buster(tm)(r)(c). Johnny-boy tries to keep a more positive tone overall, which means he really should win, but I cynically pick George and his patented attackin' machine.

Outright Nitpicking
Both sites have videos, George's on the FRONT PAGE. He wins that beacuse you can view his attack ads in quicktime as well as windows media player and realplayer. Hes Mac-friendly, conflabbit! John's site has a simpler design and is easier on the eyes, so the award goes to him on that one.

The end winner for best site goes to George having the most propagandafied website. Woo!
