Music for trance...

Maybe this should be in the Temple, but since it's basically about music, I put it here. Mods, feel free to move it.
I've been looking around but I haven't found anything about music intended for meditative trance. I'd like to find looped mp3s, or an hour long cd with just one track, something like that, to help me meditate...
If you could point me in the right direction, I would appreciate it VERY much--
thanks already, 'lithers

I meditate to Boards of Canada a lot. Some of their tracks are better than others, but I'll usually just throw on an album and go into the trance state. It's just got such an otherworldly feel. There was one time when I was deep in trance, and the voiceover at the end of one of the records about "If you're ever a juror on a censorship trial..." came on, and it sounded like some higher power was speaking directly to me.

But, I'm actually looking for what you're looking for as well, so if anyone has suggestions, bring them on.

I always find Throbbing Gristle's "Heathen Earth" very effective- it was subtitled "Music for Dreamachines", after all...

Or parts of Coil's "Time Machines" project.

Oneida - Sheets of Easter. Not so much for a calm, meditative trance, but perfect for a more left-hand-path orientated melt-your-own-head type one.

Thing is, personally I find that to use sound in meditation, it's got to be something that's totally repetitive and unchanging - like radio static or an utterly catatonic ambient drone track which you could set on 'repeat'..
