I've recently discovered a strong interest in Lilith, Adam's first wife. I've been doing a lot of research (and praising), but I'd like to know - is there anyone else here that may worship Lilith??

Womb of demons? *shivers* Nope.

Mind you, in her incarnation as the founder of women's lib I have no problems with her.

Interesting, because I recently had an intense identifying experience as Loki, who also begets demons from his womb. It made me shiver, too. But plenty of people claim to worship him.

Anyway, isn't Lilith just propaganda against some female deity whose adherents lived near the Hebrews? If those heathens worshipped her, you can too. I imagine she represents the eternal magic nature of woman, rather than the fleshy, reproductive aspect. You might be advised to investigate Persephone and Hecate.

I believe there may be some material on Penople Shuttle/ Peter Redgrove's book "The Wise Wound" about Lilith. I've given my copy away - to Lilith Myth, funnily enough - but from what I recall they contrast Lilith with Eve. They state that female fertility and fecundity are reprsented by Eve, which ties in with the ovulation process, while the menstration process reprsents a different kind of procreation, that of the creativity - the release of energy at menstruation tied in with creative works and visions. Hope that helps.
