I made a post that i called a Hyperpost and put it in convo : Hyperpost

I was wondering, would it be a cool idea if there was a forum dedicated to posts that mix images and text to create magical effects on the readers? Or even a whole site that did it, i think the mixture of images and posts help to balance the effect of learning by mixing Hod/Netzach, thought and feeling energies.

Also, it would be wild if there was a site/forum that did this type of thing and the posters started sussing how to make the effects better and better. New members would possibly find that they'd be getting addicted pretty fast......imagine Christian fundamentalists that accidently clicked on the link! "It's a forum of Satan!!!"

What do you think?

i think thats an awesome idea. ive been wanting to get with others and do some "online magick" experiments for a while now. if something like that was set up id definetly be all over it.

That's an idea with potential, certainly; images can have a lot of psychological impact wich makes them useful in magickal work.

I've come across a lot of sites in the past that aimed to create various effects with varying sucess. There was a site that attempted to use images to give the viewer/reader a Reiki attunement just by looking at it (didn't work, of course), a site that aimed to help the viewer/reader recall their past lives (didn't work, and was very tacky), and so on.

There's Thee Sigil Garden, where anyone can submit a sigil for others to charge; the intents are variable and often obscure, and seeing a whole page of them can be rather disquieting.

What sort of "magical effects" were you thinking of trying to create? Without some kind of guiding intent I'm not sure this would work well. You'd be putting a lot of trust in the other participants--could you really rely on everyone involved not include images or text that were designed to (GIVE ME ALL YOUR MONEY) manipulate others, (SIGN UP WITH PAYPAL AND DO IT NOW) or create other undesirable (BUY ME LOTS OF COOL STUFF) effects? (WHAT THE HELL, JUST GIVE ME YOUR CREDIT CARDS!)

I looked at the page from your link and some of those sigils do look pretty mad! The intent behind doing a site full of Hyperposts or whatever you want to call them could be to help cause positive change in people and allow them to think for themselves, develop a stronger will and so on.

I don't think that i was thinking so much of Sigils even, just pure inspiration as a form of Magick in itself. Another good intent could be to help people develop imagination in themselves. If you could get this down to an art it could be pretty powerful.
