Now, I didn't want to make that obvious, but yes, you use it on the doorknob.

OK, the GROW solution is below. People who want it, highlight the rest of the post. People who want to keep at it, don't highlight. Simple.

Place the items on the sphere in the following order: box, tube, orange ball, ladder, egg, mountain, fan, cog, cyclone, dish, black ring, TV screen

The viridian room. So you thought the crimson room was easy, eh? (er, no)

Oh, and if that isn't infuriating enough, try The Mystery of Time and Space

Whilst far from my favourite Flash game, this is rather entertaining. I suggest persevering with it for at least a few minutes. It develops from childish anti-capitalist ranting into a reasonably well researched and informed investigation into the nefarious shenanigans of the witless wonder and his administration.

***Contains soundtrack, so probably NOT worksafe***

And, of course, the immortal Badger Racing.

Well, I managed to complete BiP's Space and Time game, with the absolute minimum of checking the cheat sheet...

Time to revive a neglected thread....

This beautiful puzzler doersn't take long to complete, but is sooooo well conceived that it has just become an instant favourite of mine.

Broadband recommended, but it's definitely worth the slog if you're on dial-up.

This is a pretty good one, just for the musical reward you get on successful completion.

The above link pinched from an NTSC-uk thread, by the way.

Two pointed out in this month's Edge: A Murder of Scarecrows and Cyrkam Airtos. Both very entertaining, if a little fiddly.

Bubbles!

Also features bonus bubbles of varying degrees of usefulness. Don't go for the flashing coloured ones if you value your sanity...

I'd like to hear what people think of this one... an acquaintance of mine created it, but it won't run on my system. Egg vs. Chicken (new with Marxist jokes!)

My favourite flash game developer of all time is On, who writes and run the Eyezmaze site. It is the cutest, most clever use of Flash for games I've seen, and almost every one of the minigames and larger games are fun, addictive, and immensely satisfying to play.

They are all based on point-and-click, and mostly use a permutations game-mechanic, where the order you click things is what determines the game path you take. It's amazing what can be done with such a simple mechanism, but some may find the trial-and-error style a little frustrating.

The site was recently revamped, and I think he's looking for a sponsor to let him write games full time.

Boomshine. Twelve levels of simple explode the circles' goodness. Level 12 is extremely difficult.

Boomshine is fun, I finally got 57 out of 55.

And Benny, if you like more of these tower defense games, here are some links:

Desktop Tower Defense, my favourite version of this game, build the maze yourself out of towers

Strategic Tower Defense, old and addicting version

Onslaught

BTW, I couldn´t play your game, one of the towers never shot anything and it crashed frequently.

BOOMSHINE!!

TWO POSTS BACK! Although, to be fair, your link points to a site that has the game running at resolution that looks much nicer on a big tv.

It's a cut down version of Every Extend, pretty much. Not a Flash or browser-based game, but still highly recommended, especially if you're enjoying Boomshine.

Thank you, tezcat. It´s an upgraded version of Benny´s game. I couldn´t get past a certain level (37?), where the opponents just rushed through, though I had many upgraded towers.

Wow Benny, I just blew about an hour at work on Bloons, quite fun, and the last level is totally worth the work.

They're addictive aren't they? I escaped briefly to play Bloons - just got to the end.

You know there are More Bloons right Elijah?

I'm a big fan of Bubble Struggle. The concept is very simple - pop all the bubbles, don't get hit by the bubbles, and don't run out of time. The level designs are surprisingly diverse for such a simple game.
