| Getting a spell from someone else won't help you with that. It's your own intent that does the magick. A lot of this depends on what sort of spirit that you are calling. That's the first set of questions that you should ask yourself. Once you have that down, as was mentioned in a prevous post, setting up an altar to attract it can be useful. Use items that symbolize the spirits "nature" and identity to you. Banish the area using a banishing ritual of your choice. You might wish to go into a state of mental stillness, or trance, with the intent of recieving the spirit's sigil. Whether the spirit actually sends it to you, or it is created in your mind is arguable, the point is to get a symbol that "ties" you to the entity. Charge the altar with your desire to interact with the spirit using a dedication ritual, or you could craft a sigil to that purpose. If you have a "recieved" sigil, incorporate it into your altar. Sit at the altar and open yourself through entering gnosis, (trance, mental stillness, chanting drumming, whatever you are into). As far as using that method of communication, that is what I do, you may want to use an intermediate medium like a scrying bowl or automatic writing. When you are done communicating, be sure to utilize a "closing ritual" created by you. It should utilize the following, 1. The intent to close down your gates of contact, i.e., reverse the previous intent and 2. Clear the space, and 3. Separate yourself from the experience, i.e., reconnect yourself to "reality", (whatever the hell that is). Hope that helps. |
