Thanks for that, Malio; I've been planning to go to this since I heard about it last fall, and conveniently my aunt and uncle live up in Rhinebeck so I've got a place to crash fer free.

Any word about when one needs to register by? I just don't have the scratch at the present moment. Unemployed, donchukno. I wonder if my inside contacts can knock the price down a bit.

Is this before or after the RNC goes down? Seems like it might be a good opportunity to gather the troops and whatnot.

Hey-ya... I'm headin' to the workshop session and haven't found much info on what will actually be discussed and/or done while we're all gathered. On Rushkoff's site there was a blog entry saying something to the extent of : "Yo dudes, I'm not sure what I'm going to be doing at this shindig, got any ideas?"...

Sigh... I'm still unsure whether I'll be attending this. I need to email someone at Disinfo to see whether I might be able to get a free pass, which seems unlikely at this late date; otherwise, it's just not within my economic power at this moment. I'm really rather disappointed, too, since I'd been planning for this for at least 9 mos. Crapshitdamn.

As it is, it would appear astronomically unlikely I will be in attendence this weekend at Omega. This bums me out not a little bit. I was hoping for a li'l quality time with some of my favorite deep thinkers. I'm sure there'll be other opportunities, but I'd been looking forward to this for no less than 9 months. Shitdamnfuck.

Just as an aside, I find it fascinating that, without consulting my previous remarks, I managed to post almost precisely the same thing as I had three days before. People sometimes tell me I'm redundant, but that's usually without the benefit of a transcript.

Anyone know if anything like this is going to be happening again this year, or know of any Grant appearance in the States. I missed it last summer, and I've been regretting it since.
