Has anyone even heard of him?

He's most well known for his design of the album covers for the band Radiohead. His paintings are interesting, but his writing is simply remarkable.

You can find his stuff at:
www.SlowlyDownward.com

Alot of his stuff is hit or miss - either you love it or you hate it, and the quality really varies from story to story. So I'll list a couple of my favorites that I think serve as a good introduction in case you're too timid to just jump right in. (don't worry, they're VERY short)

Practical Jokes, Again
My Week
Explosions
Condiments
Warehouses
Sure Enough

Happy reading!

Did you read that novel he published? I think it was called "The Catacombs of Terror!"

Anyway, I always wondered what it was like, but at the time couldn't really justify the cost to myself on the strength of liking Radiohead so much.

I know, this has nothing to do with the novel, but it's how I heard about it etc.

Judging by the cover, I always assumed that the novel would be crap. But then again, it's Stanely Donwood, so I guess this time I really can't judge a book by it's cover.
