Rawkusboi: No, I wouldn't say it's essential, you'd still be able to follow the story and everything. Reading the first five issues might be useful, cos those stories get continued later on, but you could always read them as 'prequels' at a later date.
If you've got the last two trades with you right now, there doesn't seem to be much point in depriving yourself of their existential animaly goodness. It'll only end up making you cross. |
