My friend has introduced me to the idea of Magick. He recently told me I have to understand that you "never haggle for a black egg". Is this Black Egg a Chaos Trophy? and if so you never haggle because you make your own black egg, correct?

There is a traditional idea in occultism (possibly from around the sixteenth century?) about not haggling over items one has to purchase for magical uses - and I suspect this is what the phrase relates to.

I have come across the phrase never haggle over a black cock though in a different context.
