I'm writing a training seminar. I would like to come up with an interesting image of a technical programming thingy which has 4 covers 4 distinct areas.

For some reason I want to either describe or show a compelling image of something that represents this. I was hoping for some sort of myth about someone with , erm, 4 faces. Or anything with four separate parts really...erm anyone have any ideas? Want to help me brainstorm. What are some famous foursomes?

The one that springs to mind instantly is the A-Team! - this also has the added bonus of each member having their own strengths and weaknesses - and clearly defined characters which people are already familiar with. Not sure how suitable those characters would be for your presentation though.

Cool, Jub. That is exactly the kind of striking thing I want.

When I think about it more the idea I want to put across is that everyone knows that this technique is famous for doing a , but also remember that you can do b,c and d with it.

So I could say well everyone knows that BA is the most well known member of the A team...but lets remember that we also have Face, Murdoch and Hannibal there as well.

That should start things off with a laugh.

what about the four horsemen of the apocalypse? they cover four areas; and these all seem to have bad press over the years. mebbe you could polish them up a little!

Well what about Charlies Angels? People automatically think of them as a three and tend to forget the man behind it all, the great Charlie himself...

re: programming aspect - the Gang of Four behind the famous Design Patterns book?

I can't believe no one has mentioned the Fantastic Four! Divided neatly along elemental lines - Earth (the Thing - Ben Grimm), Fire (the Human Torch - Johnny Storm), Air (The invisible woman - Sue Storm) and Water (Mr Fantastic - Reed Richards)...

EXCELSIOR!!!
