Right, a rather shallow post in comparison to the great ones already out there. And perhaps more fit for the TV, Film board- but I'm curious about the magickal perspective...

So there is this show in America right now called Wonderfalls. (Flash intensive website, so dial-up beware...) The show is essentially about your standard, snarky Gen X(Y?)-er being an utter head case to everyone. Except she gets these... messages see? Specifically, various stuffed animals and deformed wax lions talk to her and tell to do extraordinarilly odd things that end up helping people. It's all very urban shaman and magick-conscious actually... or perhaps I'm reading into things.

The UK lithers, are probably rather lost right now- but I know at least Vladimir has seen it. If I weren't pressed for time I'd post some episode (heh. 'sode) summaries just to illustrate... Anyway, enjoy the fluff.

Methinks it is intended to be Gen Y, as per the whole "Jen Why" article bit in the second episode. Yes. I've seen it. Very quirky.

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but after FOUR FUCKING EPISODES, those purveyors of such fine culture at Fox have chosen to CANCEL "Wonderfalls." No, not "retool and bring back next season" or anything quite so hopeful; straight up CANCELLED. As if I needed another reason to despise Fox.

I really do encourage you all to sign it and send a clear message that the Fox suits, for all their supposed "finger on the pulse of America yakkitysmackity" they really haven't the first fucking clue what the public wants that doesn't by design pander to the lowest common denominator.

I think they're perfectly real. I also take it that no one has come up with anything particularly poignant with regard to "magickal elements" of the show.
