| Find out as much as you can about whoever you plan on contacting prior to embarking on the work, take things slowly, don't rush in blindly or come on like the big magus, approach the whole endeavour with an attitude of respect, be polite, the purpose of this sort of work is ultimately to build a relationship with a God/dess or Spirit that will mutually benefit both parties. try to be aware of any issues that the entity might be likely to have with you generally or your behaviour in the world. Even if, at some level, you beleive the being you're contacting is only a part of your subconscious mind (and I really don't think we need another thread on that can of worms) you will get superior results if you manage the whole process as if they were objectively real. Search the archives on here as there have been various interesting threads on the subject. Don't panic. |
