I believe JLA Avengers will appear next week. After hearing some comments that Perez made (while wearing an armbrace) a couple months ago, I'm surprised it's shown up this quickly.

I'm still waiting for the Bob Haney Teen Titans Elseworlds, myself.

I think Smith is supposed to finish writing both Black Cat and Daredevil: The Target after the Jersey Girl publicity push is over. He will finish it, eventually.

Though I love Kevin Smith's work, I am not so optimistic. However, when you have a man who has become famous for his slacker persona, should you really expect anything less than missed deadlines and incomplete work?

And for comics that are missing, I'm STILL waiting for the Rob Liefeld/Jim Shooter version of Youngblood that was supposed to be out in 1994. No, really, I am. I SO want to read that. It would be like everything bad about both the 80's and the 90's all wrapped up in super-shiny paper with a holographix cover!

So I have a question:

Has the fourth ALIAS TPB come out yet? I saw in the last issue of Marvel Previews that it was advertised as the "final chance" to order it. Which is confusing since the chap at the local store claims it hasn't even come out yet, which matches its listing on Amazon.com.

So I'm confused. Are Marvel just issuing this as a one-shot deal? I know they've had some legal troubles from the Alias TV people.

Anyway, I really want it. This series has been a great read, prolly my favourite Bendis stuff. Too bad THE PULSE seems so watered down in comparison.

According to Barnes and Noble's web site, Vol. 4; entitled "The Secret Origins of Jessica Jones" was released in February of this year, but they do not currently have any copies available.

This leads me to believe that it hasn't actually been released yet. I've had a heck of a time finding Vol. 2, as well.

And, yeah, the Pulse is definately watered down. But hey, they are coming out with Amazing Fantasy #1 in which Mattie Franklin will be a kid-friendly Spider-Woman. I bet they don't tell the kiddies about her drug addiction, huh?

I think Marvel is in the midst of an identity crisis; can't decide if they want to sell to kids or to adults. And they certainly can't seem to figure out how to maintain one continuity and satisfy both demographics, ya know? Although I am VERY excited about the Marvel Knights Spider-Man coming up...

In regards to Kevin Smith, I don't think that just becuase he can't keep a monthly pace, he should stay away from mainstream comics, it's just the publisher shceduling him has to do a better job. There's no reason with a four issue mini-series, that Marvel shouldn't wait until at least all the scripts are finished before soliciting the book.

I think in this specific case, it has a lot to do with finishing Jersey Girl, since his Green Arrow run went fairly smoothly deadline wise.

Heh. The Image hardcover...one of the local fatbeards went on an on to me about a year ago about how it was done and waiting to ship and he'd seen it. Then, McFarlane announced that he had JUST STARTED on his pages a few months ago.

Same with the Miracleman statue.

Of course, if neither one of them never ever come out, I don't think I would notice.
