| There's a reason in that only certain tags are allowed on Barbelith for a fairly good reason - ie. some things break everything and it's easier to handle user-generated content when their palette of formatting options is smaller. But there's no particular reason why em and strong tags should be filtered as far as I can tell so I'll look into changing that. |
