The Third Part of the Hypersigil Trilogy

GM has said on occasion that The Invisibles and The Filth are the first two parts of a hypersigil trilogy, but with The Filth over for a while now, is there any word on what's going to be the third part of said trilogy? Or maybe I missed it and one of his works from the past was a part of it (Flex Mentallo perhaps?).

I believe he has said, quite possibly in 'bullshitter' mode, that Skrull Kill Krew was the first part.

I'd say New X-Men is the third. There are huge amounts of hypersigil magic happenning in there.

He's said that SKK is the 3rd of the trilogy. Of course he's also listed the trilogy as being Kill Your Boyfriend, Invisibles, and the Skrull Kill Krewe.

Either JLA or New X-Men work well as a third.

Yeah, I've always wondered about that myself. MARVEL BOY seems a better fit to me though.

How exactly would y'all say JLA &/or NewXmeN fit in to this trilogy? I am very curious to know what in those two runs adds up to "huge amounts of hypersigil magic". Examples please!

Wrong. 'Invisibles' was the first part, 'The Filth' was the second, and something to be called 'Indestructible Man' will be the third and last. I've read this in a couple interviews with Grant.

I agree. If hes doing a trilogy it would diffinatly be an origional peice of work, not something encoded into work hes doing on XMEN.

I firmly believe the third part of the trilogy already exists. It's in the same dimension as the conclusion to Robert Anton Wilson's "Historial Illuminatus" sequence.

Although, hypothetically, if the Invisibles and the Filth were supposed to be thesis and antithesis, I for one would love to see the synthesis.

Sorry, but it DOESN'T exist yet. And nothing like the source to confirm it. From an interview Grant gave to Comic Book Resources:

LIMA (the interviewer): You showed how "Invisibles" was a spell to make us see we're part of the same hologram, while "The Filth" was an injection of the worst aspects of life into the reader's mind to inoculate them. How would a third project dealing with similar themes work?

MORRISON: Wait and see. At the moment I'm assembling research material for "Indestructible Man," which is the third part of an informal "hypersigil" trilogy including the "Invisibles" and "The Filth."

You can check the whole interview in:

Is it clear now?

And more on this:

THE PULSE: You said before that you were working on like nine creator owned series. Vimanarama, We3, and Seaguy and the Wasps of Atlantis have already been announced. What are some of the other things you're doing?

MORRISON: (...) There's the Indestructible Man series which is plotted and awaits the hand of Quitely but only after we've done our DCU book, so don't hold your breath just yet.

From: pulse.

Thanks for the answer. Bad news is it looks like we've got to wait for We3, and this DCU book before seeing Indestructible Man, and with Quitely drawing that could be a while (not that it won't be worth it).

Well, based on my own reading of various interviews, the upcoming Morrison schedule looks like this:

May, June, July: Seaguy
August, September, October: Vimanarama
November, December, January: We3.

The DCU project (possibly that Captain Marvel Jr. book he's hinted about, tho it could also be a Superman project) may or may not come out during this timeframe. I suspect we'll hear more at SDCC.

Sorry, but it DOESN'T exist yet.

...that's kind of what I was getting at...

Rules of the Hypersigil Trilogy:
1. There will be three series.
2. Three is the number of series there will be.
3. The three series he lists in any given interview will never be the same.
